Rebranding Exercises

AYAM BRAND
We wanted to take on this challenge in reimagining this iconic brand that has become a staple in many Malaysian households. @ayambrandmy existed even before Malaysia was called Malaysia. It’s been THAT long ago. One of the surprising facts we found during our research was how little the logo has changed over the decades, that really shows how resilient this iconic logo became. So, obviously we are not that naïve to try and change much in our design exercise but we try to adapt it in a modern context through fashion. What do you guys think of our proposal? Yay or Nay?
CHOKI CHOKI
This was a fun one since it is one of our favourite nostalgic brands that is still prevalent among the younger generation. We even slipped in a little bit of packaging redesign as well. What do you guys think of this take?
KAYU NASI KANDAR
A lil’ throwback to one of our first design challenges in which we redesigned the famous Kayu Nasi Kandar Penang. We got a lot of responses from this post and made new friends along the journey ever since.
RAMLY BURGER
Ramly Burger has become so ingrained in our lifestyle that we refer to any kind of burger sold on the street as a Ramly burger. It’s that messy yet generous sauce-filled burger with more condiments than we should be consuming. The idea of the redesign is to strip the original logo to its core elements - the colours, the roof-shaped top and the unique logotype.
